WHATS POSSIBLE

This time, I think any way, a simple but effective LO. Photo of my self taken when I first met my DH Frans....a few years ago.....
The paper used:- G45 CURIOSITY SHOP
DUSTY ATTIC chips:- DA 0672  BIRDCAGE #5
DUSTY ATTIC flowers:- DA0800  CELESTIAL WHITE

The title is taken from the TIM HOLTZ stamp.  "WHATS POSSIBLE"

These are some of the new DUSTY ATTIC Flowers I received in the post, I like to make my own, so this was a luxury...and a time saver!I used CRAFTERS WORKSHOP masks and iridescent molding paste to create the leaves and flowers. Cut them out then glued in place.

Another close up of the silky flowers.

I stitched around the two birds to make them pop.

One of  many, new relies for FEB/MARCH from DUSTY ATTIC:
- DA0678 BIRDCAGE #5.
I decked it with the same iridescent molding paste I used for the mask.
All the above can be found or ordered from - www.scrapdelight.nl

I hope you have enjoyed your visit.
Happy scrapping.......Scrappy hugs....Susan

HEART STEALER

Some thing different for me....BRIGHT COLORS! But a fav....GLITZ.....
The papers are from "GLITZ" a fav of mine. It is an older line- SCRARLET - but still yummy.  The  papers  matched this photo perfectly! So I used them! A shame to cover all this yummy with gesso...right?

The LO was based on the DUSTY ATTIC sketch for February.
Dusty Attic used     - DA0463 Vintage name plate
                        - DA0465 Ornate corner

I used puffy paint and Ranger Distress ink- Festive Berries to op the DA chips

The DA chippies are popped with puffy paint and ink then tucked into the corners with the leafy swirl cuts. The leafy swirls are made with the Cherry Lynn die- Rose & Swirl.

The flowers are from my Prima stash. The rose buds are sprayed with Glimmer mist-Lemon Zest
The title 2005 and Heart Stealer are made with the Quickutz "UPTOWN GIRL" stacked x6 then decked with glossy from Ranger.
This time a short and sweet post. See you next time.
Have a scrappy day.....

HEARTFELT...Three in a ROW tutorial #1

These three tags I have made using the Heartfelt stamps and dies.
I have had the flower stamps forever.....I have used them  a few times for my LO's, but this time I played a bit more...and am very happy with the out come. My fav. is the center tag.....I wonder why? I also used Dusty Attic!

What I used to make this tag.

HCPC 3409-TropicalFloral Swirls set.
HCPC 3407-Botanical Floral 2 Pre Cut set x2
HCPC 3400-Bella Rosebud (To a special couple)
HCPC 3448-Dainty Blooms & Birdies ( the two little birds
Ranger- Distress Inks- Mahogany and Frayed Burlap
             - Perfect pearls Mist -Biscotii
             -Stickles...assorted colors of choice.
             -Glossy
TATTERED ANGLES- Glimmer Mist -Olive Vine
Sizzix- Tim Holtz die-TAG & BOOKPLATES
SPELLBINDERS- Rose creations- "Shapeabilities"
Balling mat and balling tool
Cats eye ink for distressing the edges
Glue
Double sided foam tape
All the above can be purchased or ordered at www.scrapdelight.nl

Method of working.
-Stamp the flower spray on the tag.
-Stamp the extra separate flowers.
-Cut flowers
-Colored the edges of the tag and working to the center with  Ranger Distress ink.
-Spray the tag with Ranger- Perfect pearls mist- Biscotii
-Run the cats eye on the edge.
-Using the same ink as above color the flowers darker.
-Cut the stamped flowers out with the coordinating die cuts.
-Using the same ink as above color the flowers darker. Do this after they are cut.
This will insure, the edges will pick up a darker shade.
-Using a balling mat and balling tool-ball all the cut flowers, so they curl under.
Using the  balling tool push in the center so they curl u at the ends.
-Glue the balled layers on the stamped flowers
-Cut the small birds.
-Stamp To a Special Couple on a light colored paper.
-Spray the above with Glimmer Mist.
-Cut the ends as seen above.
-Ink bookplate edges with cats eye.
-Now you can glue the bookplate.
-Apply the stickles and glossy on to the book plate....wait to dry.
-Screw up the green Title paper, flatten, then glue in place.
-Glue the small birdies with foam tape..to give hight
-Once all glue is dry, add the stickles. This is so the birds will not move while coloring.
You can color the bookplates now if you wanted to. I do.
But, you have to be very careful not to  make a big mess!
So to begin with, go for the long and safe way.
-Color the leaves with glimmer mist, using a fine water color paint brush.Dry
-Trace the swirls and top the leaves with glossy.
-Add a little stikles on the tis of the flowers.
-Yellow Gold stickles in each of the center of the flowers.
-Add a little gold on the edge of the tag and blend with you finger.
-Tie a ribbon to the tag.
You are now done, I hope you had fun. Depending on what paper color is chosen is to what effect it will turn out. This would look fantastic in white/cream and soft colors. You are limited by your imagination!
A few close ups.

Keep an eye out for #2 and #3 in the next few days.
Have a scrappy day...scrappy hugs,
Susan  oxoxoxo

2012-

What ports will I dock in 2012? What will 2012 bring?

The above LO is based on a sketch from "ONCE UPON A SKETCH" earlier this year. I used paper that I used gesso with...a prev. tutorial post. The design paper used is from GLITZ-Laced with Grace. the last of my supply. This was such a wonderful line. The Punches used are from Martha Stewart

The title was made from the Quickutz dies- Eliza. Cut x6 then,  I used glossy from Ranger for the finishing touch.
This is such a wonderful photo my friend gave me to use some time...now was the time.
Just love it! I tore it into three for some thing different.
DUSTY ATTIC DA0491- Fancy Labels. First painted it  with gesso, sprayed with Glimmer Mist and the edges are traced with GLOSSY from Ranger. I cut them in half and tucked them under the photo. Next time I shall do the journaling last! Or use a better pen.....
The bird cage is from the Prima cling stamps released last year #551070 and Lacing #551094 see stamping above photo. The birds are finished with the matt glossy from ranger and the Martha Stewart mini beads. Bling is the e-line from Prima...sorry gals this is a discontinued line..I am so disappointed I can not get this any more!
The birds are from a older Prima stamp. Cut x2 worked with matt Glossy from Ranger &
      Martha Stewart blue mini beads
Heartfelt stamps- HCPC 3406 #1
                           - HCPC 3407 #2 Botanical Florals
                           - HCPC 3405 Leafy Medley,
Spellbinders-Foliage and Rose Creations shapeablities
Derwent pencils are used to make these flowers and leaves.
All the above supplies can be purchased or ordered from www.scrapdelight.nl

Thank you for taking the time to visit.

PLAYING AROUND

Hi to you all,
Yes once again it has taken me a while to get behind the computer....I was speaking to some one on Friday afternoon. The topic was when was I going to post again???????
The answer- Sunday afternoon was my plan.
I have been busy again... behind the scenes getting WS done and giving them. Getting a heap of LO's done for Michelle at SCRAPDELIGHT. She bought back lots of goodies from the CHA,..these will be posted in her e book on the stores bog. Of course, all the other talented members of the DT will be featured. Well worth checking it out as I have seen them all. It will blow you away!....and to top it off. I was on crutches for a few weeks. Try scrapping with one leg up high when you are a stand up scrapper! I also had my right leg treated for those nasty V......Veins. I think I have have more problems now than before the treatment. So now I can not stand for long with out pain.....Tough at the top!...where there is a will there is a way....and I found it!
Well thats my excuse this time any way....
and now to get back on track.
This will be a laugh....I have tried my hand at card making! It was not as easy as I thought it would be...there is not as much room to work with. Give me a break, I started out as a double Lay Out Gal.The brain has to be re-programed to think smaller, but give it some time and I shall get it right. One needs smaller dies etc....what a pain I had to go shop again.  What do they say....fake it till you make it......Here goes.

This is a card I made for a scrap girlfriend that had found her new home.
That is why the title is "FOUND" We had a scrap day, and I was blown away with where she lives...her little cute house is in the middle of almost no where...
if that is possible here in Holland, on a farm.
And,she had the cheek to complain that she had not been able to have a scrap room.....
my answer was" you have a scrap house!" Marjo is now living on her own...with her cat...need I say she can scrap when ever and where ever she wants! By the end of the day, she did agree with me.
In all we had a fun day. I did not get much done for my self, but I  did get to practice on making my flowers for every one and I scored a lot of points on the day.

I was a big fan of  "Magnolia Stamps"
I do like them still and have a substantial collection...but don't use them as much as I had hoped to. This time I did. I was happy with the results..for now any way. You can see I colored with "Glimmer Mist" and cut the stamped forms out to make it 3d.
I cut the tag  from the Tim Holtz tag die. Also using the oval name plate on the same die. This is another of his dies that I think is a must have...Love it!
You guessed it!
I worked it with Gesso then sprayed it to match the colors used. I also sprayed the back ground with gesso. Handy for this sort of thing, in a spray can form.

I used the MME .....Lost & Found label for the title.
You will find this on the cut away piece on the bottom of the design paper. Stamped the name plate with a stamp from "UNITY" bitty stamps. Purchased at www.scrapdelight.nl The cotton tag ribbon is also dipped in the "Glimmer Mist"

Tags to come on my next post.
