Crafters Companion love on this Monday...

featuring some of the new Sara's signature collection, 'Flutterby' with the 3d embossing folders using the gold building wax....a fantastic combo!

Lots of close ups to enjoy today. The product list is at the end of the post.
Enjoy!

Layering the butterfly's gives the front interest. The shield is cut from cardboard and design paper, embossed, then the gilding wax and Tumbled glass distress ink applied.

Tied at the side for the closing using three organza ribbons.
The sentiment is die cut about 6 times then adhered together to form a word chippie the ink and wax is applied.

Adding the building wax a little at a time so it can be true to the elegance the gold wax brings to any project.

This box is brought out by G45
The box sides have been stamped, stencilled with the novo mouse then the gold gilding wax is applied to make a elegant finish to the mixed media and cover edges.

A peak at the inside..the embossing and gilding wax is applied here too.

A total look at the inside workings. There is a small book with 3 selves with a band to hold all closed and in place. The band brings back the butterflies from the front cover.

Yes there is also a small cute tag book to match.

Getting a close look at the mini book and the tag book.
The butterfly is die cut from the new pretty glitter card-stock.
The card-stock packet has 4 colours, so it is value for money.

The real life project can be seen at HANDMADE HOBBIE from Saturday on wards.
Thats it for today...wishing you a scrappy happy day

For more tips on creating with the foam paper & stamps; stamens, watch the tutorial at https://youtu.be/Oma6ctVmUD0

Instructions:
The finished size of this tent fold card is 5.31in x 5.31in (13.5cm x 13.5cm)
Taking the white cardstock make the tent fold card base to the above measurements.
For the card front 1st matting take the pink cardstock, cut to 5.118in x 5.118in (13cm x 13cm) For the 2nd matting, find the pink and white design paper in the collection with the flowers and leaves, cut this to 4.92in x 4.92in (12.5cm x 12.5cm) For the 3rd matting, find the design paper in the collection with the pink heart print; cut this to 4.72in x 4.72in (12cm x12cm) Adhere the first 2 matting layers using the 3d foam dots, the pink cardstock and the design paper with the flowers and leaves to the card front. The 3rd matting paper with the pink hearts is stamped using the gold embossing powder and background stamp. Adhere the stamped paper to the card front using the 3d foam dots.

To make the banner: Find the banner stamp with no words on it in the ‘Banners of Love’ set, stamp the banner on white cardstock using the gold embossing powder. Finding the stamp with the word Gorgeous on it from the stamp set ‘Heartfelt sentiments’ Use only the word Gorgeous, stamp this onto the banner using the black archival ink and the misti-stamping tool. Add color to the banner using the Victorian velvet distress ink and a water coloring brush.

The flower cluster images are stamped with the gold embossing powder onto white card stock. Die cut the stamped images plus 6 extra from the card stock. Adhere to one stamped image 2 extra die cuts and the other 4 extra die cuts to form 2 chipboard flower cluster images. Color both the flower clusters using the distress inks listed in the product list. Trim the image with the 2 extra die cuts so they will be adhered to both sides of the banner as seen in the card photo. The 2nd flower cluster is adhered with the 3d foam dots to the card front to the top of the banner.

Make the 3 flowers using the art foam paper. Coloring with the pan-pastels. Add the stamens to the flower center as shown in the film. When the flowers are completed adhere with the hot glue gun to the sides of the banner as seen in the card photo.

Leaving some Crafters Companion love behind again today...

Hi...it's CC love x's 3 today so scroll to the end of the post.
...1st up 'Happy 60 years' step card...

This card is made by using the CREATE-A-CARD Stairway Card die.
Follow the instructions in the booklet that comes with the die set. As easy as that. I extended the front and back enough to cover the extra for the card-stock embossing. Using the A4 yardstick make the stair placement at 14.5cm. When you see the booklet instructions you will understand.

A birds eye view of the embossing and silver gilding wax. The die cut lace is adhered with 3d dots to the centre card front over the embossed layer.

Arrange the flowers and leaves in a cluster. Adhere with the hot glue gun.
Die cut the letters for the word HAPPY.
Apply the silver gilding wax to the letters the adhere to the card front with the hot glue gun.

The flowers are made from lose purple paper flower mix...I think Prima marketing...
(my faithful flower stash is so old and not in its packaging anymore.)
All the flower layers are adhered together with silver stamens in the centre using the hot glue gun.
When the flower cluster is fixed to the card front, apply a little silver gilding wax to the petals to bring the colours in balance.

Die cut the letters, apply the silver gilding wax then adhere each letter to a step in the stair on the card.
Do the same with the numbers...don't you just love them! All old and grungy looking.

See how that embossing and gilding makes the card pop.
It has become quite addictive. Wait till you see it using more than one colour on a project....to die for.

Sorry the leaves are from an old loved stash...Prima marketing..I have been saving these for years...just for this card!
But I do want to make some my self as I have only a few left in the stash.

The right side of the card. Can you see the layering of the letters.
These are layers x4 to make a chippy

Heartfelt Creations Products And Products Carried On Our Website:

 Other Products Used:
Card-stock: Crafters Companion Pearla Hint of Gold a4 300gm, Pink Card Stock.
Pan Pastels: 470.8 Violet Tint, 680.8 Bright Yell. Green Tint. Other: Water coloring brush, Scissors, Ruler, Hot glue gun, Versa-mark, Scissors, Double Sided 3d Foam Tape Misti stamping tool, White organza and dark pink silk ribbons, pink embossing powder, Paper distressing tool,

Instructions:
Click HERE to see the video on using the Art Foam Paper to make flowers
Click HERE  to see how to make the slider card base.
Taking the A4 Crafters companion cardstock, from the long edge make two hill and valley folds 2.36in (6cm) to form the card foot. This will be the card background and card foot. Cut the card front from another A4 cardstock measuring 6.70in x 5.52in (14cm x 17cm) This will be the card front base. From the remaining cardstock cut the slider 1.78in x 3.94in (4.5cm x 10cm)

To decorate the slider card base: Find the design paper from the Heartfelt Love collection the same as the background stamp, which is red and pink. Cut this to fit all the card base pieces. Which is the card back ground, 8.27in x 6.89in (21cm x 17.5cm)), card foot 2.36in x  8.27in (6cm x 21cm) and card front 3.94in x 5.12in ( 10cm x 13cm). Distress the edges of all the design papers with the paper-distressing tool. Adhere the design paper to the card base. Leaving the design paper open at the top of the card front base, so there will be  a gape between the design paper and the card stock. This is so, the slider can slide in and out so the card can stand on it’s own. To decorate the slider card front: Taking the pink cardstock and the design paper from the collection with the pink and white flower pattern, cut the large leafy lace border and it’s matching boarder background. Cut both 2 x. Adhere top the bard front and card foot as seen in the photo of the card. From the same design paper used for the covering of the card base back, front and card foot, cut 4 x the lace borders with the lace boarder die found in the Sweetheart Borders die set. This will be adhered across the card front to form a lace boarder, the ribbons will be placed and adhered between the two borders as seen in the card photo. Taking the reminder of the same design paper used, make the two scalloped hearts from the Eyelet Hearts die set. Cut 4 extra hearts from the white cardstock in the same size of each heart. Adhere all the hearts together to their size to form heart chipboards. To make the smaller heart, do the same but find the heart without the scalloped edge that is a little smaller than the second heart and using the pale pink paper with the white leaf and flower print. The sentiment is stamped with the gold embossing powder. Apply the pink embossing powder to the edges of all three hearts. Adhere all three hearts together.Taking the white card-stock, pink embossing powder and the stamp, die set Banners of Love, find the word ‘LOVE’ and make the letters. Cut x4 extra of each letter, adhere all together to make chipboard letters. Taking the dark pink ribbon, make x2 triple bows. Fold the bow back on it self and secure with the hot glue gun, do this to both bows. Make the flowers and leaves from the art foam paper and using the pan-pastels to give colour to the foam flowers. Placing the stamens in the flower centres when the foam is formed. Arrange and adhere in place with the hot glue gun. Add a few stamens between the leaves and flowers to give more interest to the arrangement.

What do you think of this new collection?
Isn't it wonderful!
Those foam flowers are a great asset to any collection. This collection is full of romantic dies to use for any occasion.
See you next week...sending happy scrappy inky hugs,
